Stockpile and Earthwork Measurement
Aerial volumetric measurement of stockpiles, cut and fill, and earthwork progress with a documented method and stated accuracy band.
What this service addresses
Material volumes are estimated by eye or by truck count. Inventory reporting and earthwork payment applications rest on numbers nobody can reproduce.
What you get out of it
- Reproducible volume figures with documented method
- Period-over-period earthwork movement tracking
- Inventory support for reporting and reconciliation
What we capture
- Aerial photogrammetric capture of the measured area
- Ground control where accuracy requirements demand it
- Surface definition for base and toe conditions
What you receive
- Volume report per pile or region with method and accuracy statement
- Surface models and contour outputs
- Cut and fill comparison against a prior or design surface
- Annotated orthomosaic
How the engagement runs
- 01
Accuracy scoping
Set required accuracy band and control approach.
- 02
Capture
Aerial capture with control as specified.
- 03
Processing
Surface generation and volume computation.
- 04
Professional review
Method, control and computation review.
- 05
Reporting
Volume report published to the workspace.
Who this is for
- Aggregate and materials operators
- Civil contractors and earthwork subcontractors
- Owners reconciling material inventory
Optional extensions
- Monthly inventory programme
- Design surface comparison
- Density factor application using client-supplied factors
Professional review
Every deliverable is checked by a qualified reviewer against the capture record before release. Review confirms that measurements, annotations and evidence links are traceable to source data and that stated accuracy and intended use are documented on the deliverable itself.
Limitations and boundaries
- Volumes are computed to a stated accuracy band and are not survey-grade legal quantities unless performed under a licensed surveyor's responsibility.
- Tonnage requires client-supplied density factors; we do not determine material density.
- Base surfaces beneath material are modelled or client-supplied and are documented as such.
